為培養全國廣大大學生的跨文化交流意識，提高全國廣大大學生的跨文化交流能力，國際英語外語教師協會中國英語外語教師協會（IATEFL·TEFL China）於2022年9至11月舉辦了全國大學生英語翻譯大賽（National English Translation Competition for College Students）。本大賽由IATEFL·TEFL China主辦，英語輔導報社和《考試與評價》雜誌社承辦，吸引了2147所高校的學生報名參賽，覆蓋全部的985高校及211高校。

我院英語學士學位課程（Bachelor of Arts in English, BOE）學子積極參加了本次大賽，最終22級欒凱琪、20級林志健同學榮獲國家級二等獎，指導老師為徐威（William Xu）和郭婉儀（Carrie Kuok）；22級張紫璆、張瀟語、潘穎羿和20級紀博雅、付宇揚子、胡嘉文、王奕心同學榮獲國家級三等獎，指導老師為徐威（William Xu）、邵今是（Jinshi Shao）和梁雋（Jasper Leong）。除此之外，BOE學子亦有7人獲得省級一等獎、9人獲得省級二等獎、14人獲得省級三等獎。熱烈祝賀所有獲獎同學！

徐威 助理教授:

In coordinating and supervising this activity, I am pleased to see that our students are becoming increasingly enthusiastic about participating in professional competitions. It is gratifying to see them taking care of their own development and becoming involved in activities at the national level.

欒凱琪 同學:

I would like to express my gratitude for the supervision I received from my teachers. It was through this process that I gained more translation skills as well as attempts to apply our classroom knowledge to actual translation. The translation process has also provided me with a deeper understanding of other fields. I am committed to continuing to improve my professional capability and interdisciplinary learning abilities in the future.

林志健同學:

I would like to thank the faculty members of FHSS for their support and encouragement. Translating a text requires careful polishing, but it also requires the accumulation of the usual work. Through this contest, I received useful training and realised my shortcomings in the process of sparring with other contestants. In the future, I will try my best to progress, combine theory and practice, and strive for new achievements in my studies.
