通識教育部於2026年3月27日（星期五）晚，在L311教室圓滿舉辦了一場主題為「英語演講及寫作」的專題工作坊。此次活動作為該學期通識教育系列活動的重要一環，旨在進一步提升學生的英語綜合應用能力，特別是在學術演講與實用寫作方面的實戰技巧，從而培養具備國際視野與跨文化溝通能力的複合型人才。

English Speech and Writing Workshop Successfully Held

The General Education Department successfully held a thematic workshop titled "English Speech and Writing" on the evening of Friday, March 27, 2026, in Classroom L311. As a key component of the semester's general education series, the event aimed to further enhance students' comprehensive English application skills, particularly in academic speech and practical writing, thereby cultivating versatile talent with an international outlook and cross-cultural communication abilities.

The workshop had the distinct honor of inviting Dr. Selena Zeng from Beijing Normal University as the keynote speaker. Leveraging her profound linguistic expertise and extensive teaching experience, Dr. Zeng delivered an insightful lecture centered on two core topics: "How to Construct Logically Rigorous Speech Frameworks" and "Precise Expression in Academic English Writing." Drawing upon years of research and practical insights, she analyzed the rhetoric of outstanding speeches and addressed common grammatical pitfalls and logical gaps in student writing through case studies.
