From April 26th to 27th, 2024, City University of Hong Kong successfully organized the highly anticipated 2024 Symposium on Entrepreneurship Education and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Policies, concurrently held with the 6th International Conference on Creative Management. Associate Professor Xiao Daibai, Director of the Postgraduate Program in Cultural Industry at our Faculty of [Name of the Faculty], led a delegation of postgraduate students to participate in this prestigious event. The delegation engaged in extensive and in-depth academic exchanges with experts and scholars from renowned domestic and international institutions, including Tsinghua University, Sichuan University, University of London, City University of Hong Kong, and Jilin University, yielding substantial and fruitful outcomes.
On the afternoon of April 26th, Associate Professor Xiao Daibai presided over the thematic forum on creative management and delivered a keynote address titled "Digital Technologies and Cultural Consumption." In his speech, he conducted a profound analysis of how digital technologies are propelling the innovation and development of cultural consumption. During the forum, representing our faculty, Associate Professor Xiao Daibai received the forum flag, a symbol of both honor and responsibility, signifying that our faculty will undertake the organization of the next International Conference on Creative Management.
The following day, Ph.D. candidates majoring in Cultural Industry Management at our faculty showcased their academic prowess at the parallel forum dedicated to the theory and practice of creative management. Dr. Che Xuesen's thesis from the 2023 cohort, entitled "Practical Manifestations and Path Selection for the Metaverse to Empower the Development of the Cultural Industry: A Case Study of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," and Dr. Luo Kunming's thesis from the 2022 cohort, titled "Research on the Product Design of the 'Nanhai Cane Weaving' Furniture Industry Image under the Translation of Cultural Symbols," were both highly commended by the conference attendees. Notably, Dr. Che Xuesen's thesis was honored with the Excellent Thesis Award of the conference. Furthermore, Dr. Wang Furu's work of intangible cultural heritage butterfly wing painting from the 2022 cohort was featured on the inaugural Creative China Rankings List, bringing great honor to our faculty.
This conference serves not only as a platform for academic exchange but also as an opportune moment for sincere invitations. Our faculty will persist in focusing on and advancing research and practice in the field of creative management. We earnestly invite all experts and scholars to convene in Macao in the future, where we can jointly explore and exchange new concepts and methodologies in creative management.
