On the morning of September 10th, a lecture which topic was “electrical safety and energy saving” was held at CityU by Macau Electric Power Company Limited (CEM), with the aim to enhance GED students’ awareness of electrical safety and energy saving.

At the beginning of the lecture, a representative from CEM introduced the overview of Macao’s public power system. Through vivid illustrations and cases, the potential hazards in public power facilities and daily electricity usage were fully shown, reminding students to pay attention to the electricity safety in their dormitories and rental housing and learn to identify risks on their own. At the end of the event, a quiz session with prizes was set up. Speaker played several pictures containing potential safety hazards on the screen and invited students to use the knowledge they had learned to point out the problems. The students participated enthusiastically and the atmosphere was lively. Through interaction, they further deepened their understanding of electrical safety.
