Lin Fong International Cultural Forum 2026 Transformation and Innovation of Cultural Industries in the Digital Age Call for Abstracts and Invitation to Participate

Digital technologies are increasingly embedded in cultural content production, industrial organization, cultural consumption, and governance practices, progressively reshaping the modes of production and organizational forms of cultural industries. Developments in digital performing arts, embodied intelligence, digital cultural heritage, and related technological and cultural practices continue to generate new applications and new issues concerning industry, policy, and governance.

The year 2026 marks the opening year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. The National Cultural Digitization Strategy continues to advance, and the digital and information-based transformation of cultural development is being further promoted. The Third Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Macao Special Administrative Region (2026–2030) has entered into implementation, placing cultural and artistic development and related talent training within a new planning cycle. The Faculty is also one of the implementing institutions of the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund of China, “Research on the Policy Support System for Building a Strong Cultural Nation.”

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at City University of Macau will convene Lin Fong International Cultural Forum 2026 under the theme “Transformation and Innovation of Cultural Industries in the Digital Age.” The forum will focus on technological applications, industrial practices, policy and governance, regional coordination, and international comparison in the digital transformation of cultural industries.
