The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) extends warm congratulations to its academics on their outstanding achievements at the 7th CityU Outstanding Research Awards and Research Recognitions. Our faculty members have earned a range of accolades, including the First Class Outstanding Research Award, First Class Research Recognition and Second Class Research Recognition, which fully demonstrate the FHSS’s solid research strength and remarkable development momentum in academic research.
To recognize the exceptional research performance of full-time academic staff, City University of Macau established the Outstanding Research Awards and Research Recognitions in line with the principle of “balancing quantity and quality, aligning with international standards”. The initiative aims to motivate all academics to pursue continuous exploration and in-depth research in their professional fields, and drive the innovative and high-quality development of the University’s research endeavors. A number of FHSS academics stood out in this year’s selection and received multiple honors, a testament to the Faculty’s vibrant research culture and the excellence of its academic team.

Associate Professor Xu Wei is a dual awardee, winning both the First Class Outstanding Research Award and First Class Research Recognition, with his research outcomes ranking among the top two at the University. This is a high recognition of his long-term dedication to and continuous innovation in research.
