August, 1994-present Faculty of Foreign Languages of Beijing Language and Culture University, teaching courses on both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Intercultural Communication, General Linguistics, Grammar & Lexicology, English-Chinese Translation and Interpreting, United Nations Document Translation, Intercultural Teaching and Learning;
June, 1997 awarded “Excellent Teaching Prize”, conferred by Beijing Language and Culture University;
March, 1997-August, 1999 Section Head of English Department of Beijing Language and Culture University, with responsibilities ranging from teaching, syllabus designing, running seminars to routine administrative work and recruiting overseas teachers and experts to work for the department;
May, 1998 conferred the honorific title “Beijing Excellent Youth Pillar Teacher’ by Beijing Municipal Education Committee
December, 2001, Associate Professor and Vice-dean of the English Department of Beijing Language and Culture University, in charge of teaching, research and administrative work, revising the curriculum and engaged in the project of “Exploring Versatile English Talents Models” in the universities in China.
July, 2004-September, 2004 working for UNESCO in Paris, translating documents for the Executive Board Session in the Chinese Section of UNESCO
