Programme Features
One feature is that the academic discipline emphasizes the nature of real applications. Its theories and skills can be applied to all disciplines and professions, including humanities, social sciences and sciences, e.g. IT and AI require applied linguists to work with them for creating new programmes related to languages; in healthcare, speech and language therapists and psychologists use applied linguistics knowledge to provide language related research work.
This programme creates high-level professionals able to perform with high competency in multi-cultural and linguistic settings like Macau and serve in international and intercultural workplaces, e.g. government, higher education and international companies.
Graduation Requirements
Studetns need to successfully complete 9 compulsory modules (27 credits) and PhD thesis (15 credits).
