Hello everyone, I'm Mika from class B of English major. First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the school for the cultivation of my professional ability. The careful guidance is given by my tutor Mr. Andle. It’s my honor to share my experience with you here. Because I will choose the translation route in the future, I chose to practice translation skills by participating in competitions during the holidays. Through this competition, I have a preliminary understanding of translation. I learned that the most important thing in translation is be faithfulness, expressiveness, and elegance. Then, you need to beautify the article word by word without deviating from the original content. This also exercises my ability to choose the appropriate vocabulary. Of course, I also encountered a lot of difficulties in this process. Through solving difficulties step by step, I can feel that my ability has improved qualitatively. In the end, I would like to share my three summaries with you: participate in more competitions to gain experience, take the initiative to try, and maintain a good learning attitude. I wish all of you can get good grades and higher achievements in the upcoming new semester!
